ABOUT HANDOFF PARTNERS

We built the piece that deal diligence always skipped

Diligence teams are excellent at finding risk. Almost nobody is responsible for making sure that risk gets acted on after the deal closes. That gap is where we work.

Why we exist

Most M&A advisory ends the day the deal signs. Financial, operational, and legal diligence findings get compiled into a report, the report gets filed, and the operating team inherits the business with little more than a closing binder and a handshake. In the lower middle market, where target companies rarely have a dedicated integration function, that handoff gap is where value quietly leaks out of a deal.

HANDOFF PARTNERS was founded specifically to close that gap — not by repeating diligence work, but by translating it into an executable plan for the people who now have to run the business.

How we work

We are not a due diligence firm, a broker, or a financing partner. We start where your deal team's diligence file ends, and we stay engaged through the first 100 days of integration — the window where unresolved findings are most likely to become operational fires.

Independent

No brokerage, financing, or referral arrangements that could bias our recommendations.

Operator-facing

We write for the people running the business on Monday morning, not for a deal committee.

Accountable

Open items are tracked to resolution, not handed off and forgotten.

Who we work with

Our clients are acquiring companies, private equity operating partners, and deal advisory firms handling lower middle market transactions, generally between $5M and $150M in enterprise value.
